Nice find. It's nice to see someone encouraging people to repair.
I just finished repairing two "totaled" planes. It does feel like Christmas. Paul |

narrow is the place to land.
..wide is the space to crash ....choose the narrow way!

Ha Ha! Stuart, in the future I recomment that you not store your planes in a pile of garbage when searching for your TX.

sadly no matter how i dream, this is how stock WHs fly for me
this is the vid series i loosely followed to make the WH breath fire (i clipped 6" off the wingtips, now theyre very sturdy)
stock WHs are oft hated and tossed as junk - heres how i dreamt of a stock WH flying for me |

Nice vids! I've gotten advice from HeadsUp for a set up with absurd power. I'll be adding flaperons and a brushless motor to her. This will give some kids at school a chance to learn the components of an rc plane. And it will allow me to fly circles around the art teacher's Sky Surfer.

one of these (yes they take a few weeks to arrive but headsup rc has comparable )
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RC-2600KV-Br...item415d20c29a one of these - its a Pentium! (plug n play) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mystery-30A-...item2308596d24 a 2650 mah 25 C lipo stuffed in the nose fits, and balances good, (i wont buy another Mystery brand lipo) -a couple 9gram servos sunk in the wings for the "ailerarms"-- the stock servos are sloooooooow - i put a 9G in for the elevator too - letssee, yes, i suspect the stock radio equipment of no-good-ness and have an AR6100 2.4 ghz in there but a good 72 works fine-- and an APC 6X4 --stock motor attitude does not work , unless you want endless uncontrollable loops, easy to adjust with washers fiberglass or carbon fiber tube inserted and glued in from the top of the motor pod to the bottom of the fuse gives good thrust support- the stock motor pushes out carefully from a pair of sleeves in the pod, i left the sleeves in for support--- glue a outrunner support (circle of thin ply) on the rear of the pod with a hole in the center of it for forced cooling of the motor |

Thank you for the info! I didn't consider replacing the stock servos. Thanks for the heads up on that one. This is going to be a fun little airplane!

the stock servos are workhorses, just kind of sloow workhorses- they are OK for a while, an emergency that needs a fast elevator servo doesnt happen every day, but its a kool mod, getting away from less than optimal equipment - i forgot to mention my lipo is 3S- ive found "Blue Lipo" brand to be good, as have others

So, flying under a bridge! Where did the plane end up landing?
When I see where some of you fly, I am not surprised by the "plane is in a tree ![]() " stories that I see here. I am a gutless flier I guess.
