Default Alien Aircraft Hornet, great flyer !

After crunching the nose of my MM EVA model, and rain every day this past month, I finished an Alien Aircraft 'Hornet" model that I'd kind of stalled with the build. Well, it's done and it is a really great flyer, even in a fairly good breeze ! The finished plane weighs 14 oz. with a 1300 Battery, thunderbird 18 ESC, and a BP 2208-17 motor. A very nice flying plane.

Attached are some photos ....

Really sharp - nice scheme.

Any pics or comments on the build? Looks like a really nice kit for under $40 right now!

Thanks rcers. I used Ultracote parklite. The cub yellow looks nice against the white. The build went pretty easy. A little old school with the hatch on the bottom and the motor mounted between two cheeks, but everything fit (laser cut} well and went together quick. That is once I got my head around the hatch on the bottom ... You have to slide the batt. in blind with the plane upside down and my velcro is on the bottom which is now on the top ... Plus you must pull the batt. out by brute force, since there's not much room to pry it away from the velcro. But did I say it flies nice, it does. I have the throws cut down to about 75% with 30% expo. I'm kinda old and slow on the sticks (72) but it rolls as fast As I can keep up and makes nice smooth loops etc. And it lands slow too. I added a tail wheel since I like take offs and landings from pavement.

Thanks Jimmy, It's really a nice flyer too. Spent some time last night looking at Mountain Models and Alien Aircraft Piper Cub kits. Maybe that's the next build.
