Eagle you traitor!
There are other groups that have some info out there if you need a fix but this is one of the most helpful and friendly forums on the whole net - any topic.

Not a traitor! My forum personal preferences are: 1. WattFlyer; 2. rc groups; 3. rcuniverse. I always look at all three. If I have a problem I'll usually seek advice from both WattFlyer and rcgroups.
Each forum seems to have it's own core constituancy which many times provide a wider specktrum of ideas and solutions. |

When I have time, or specific thing I want as much info as possible about, I'll scour all of the above mentioned groups. When I just want to check in, I hit WF becuase when I was first starting out it was the most helpful. I was being completely facetious when I called Eagle a traitor and agree that the more widely you read, the more you will learn and enjoy.
I can see how my "any topic" comment was misunderstood, I didn't explain myself well. WF is about electric R/C aviation. My comment was simply that, compared to other special interest forums (not just electric R/C aviation), WF is populated with friendly and helpful people. Now, about that rocket design... Where do people discuss such a wonderous apparatus?

My Advice would be to Stay away from Stinky Diesel Powered Planes and go Electric ( see I am Staying on E Power topic ) and Build a Lot of FF Rocket Powered Models ( and Electric Powered FF Models with timers ) LOL, Take Care, Chellieto convert gas to Electric for control line or FF ![]() http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=EFLA172

Got several electric C/L and many electric FF models and they go very well. I've been building my own simple timers for many years now.
But you still can't beat the smell of a nice diesel engine for pure nostalgia. All it takes is a whiff of balsa cement, nitrate dope and diesel fuel....50-odd years disappears in a flash .Steve |

I truly feel like the awesome folks on Wattflyer are like my second family, Dr. and Psychiatrist. They are the greatest. I just wish we could have a Wattflyer only Fly-In so we could all meet each other in person and have one hell of a good time, flying our Toy's, hanging out and shooting the breeze, then rent a huge Ballroom with an awesome 1940's Swing/Big Band and have an Vegas style Buffet. I have it all planed out. A Beautiful Mountain Valley with snow covered mountain tops, a crystal clear mountain lake, Temperatures in the mid 70's, not a breath of wind, with places to fly every thing from Micros, Seaplanes to 200mph EDFs. It also will have a place for our kids to play safely, wifi for our better halves to surf the net or discuss to each other about how much we act like Teenagers and spent to much money. You can't miss me, I'll be the Short Fat guy that looks like your Uncle Ernie, with a smile from ear to ear, wearing Paint & CA spattered Plaid shorts & Purple Flowered Hawaiian shirt. (My Official Flying Togs) I call first Dance with Chellie, and the room closest to the Ballroom, because I will be totally exhausted and don't want to walk far to crash.

John Travolta stole all his moves from me. The first concert I ever took a girl to was Wild Cherry.
