Default "Noisy Spektrum Servos"

My Spektrum DX7 radio system and its included servos are now on their fourth flying season. And all has been very good, until yesterday.

Turned on everything, and noticed noisy servos at the tail of the Showtime 50, where the model has the rudder servo and two elevator servos. Didn't make any sense, it appeared that all three servos were making noise, even when slight pressure was placed on the servos both clockwise and counter clockwise.

Then, the DX7 transmitter that was laying about a half foot from the tail of the model was picked up, and all servo noise disappeared!

Moved the transmitter back near the tail, again the servos made noise, pulled it away, and the noise was gone.

Maybe that's why its a good idea to keep the transmitter several feet away from the receiver when the transmitter/receivers are turned on

Some things never change, seems that getting a 72Mhz antenna too close to the receiver could cause issues also
That Showtime 50 is one good flying model
We have two at our field with OS AX 55's on them, and mine has an OS 81A 4 stroke. I'm sure the Showtime would make a good E-conversion.

Agreed:
My Showtime 50 is equipped with a Hacker A50-16S motor, 16X12 APC-E prop, 7S2P A123 battery pack, pulling 60 Amps at around 1200 Watts. The motor turns that prop at about 6700 RPM right off the charger, and at 6450 RPM after a hard flight.

It gets 6 1/2 minute flights, using about 60% of the battery.

The motor will pull that model straight up out of sight and keep on going. It far outperforms a fellow club members Showtime 50 with a 70 sized glow 4 stroker on it. Of course the glow model will fly 10 minutes. I just don't want to go to LiPo batteries.
