Default Krylon Paint Issues

This is for those of you who paint their models:

Never use Krylon paint. I used both the standard Krylon and Krylon fusion and both types krinkled on the second coat. It is as if the paint is chemically incompatible with itself.

I am refinishing a nice scale plane and normally I use an airbrush but I found a color I liked and I thought it would be convenient to rattle can it on. Wrong!

If a paint company can't even get it's own product to paint over itself then I give up, no more Krylon within 50 feet of my shop.

I think flames are about to shoot out of my ears I am so mad.

Dave, Krylon changed its paint formula over a year ago and never told their costumers. The can and nozzle changed but they never mentioned they switched from Acrylic Lacquer to Acrylic Enamel. The old formula can be re-coated anytime without problems. Acrylic Enamel has a re-coat time as stated on the back of the can and if you don't follow the re-coat time, then the paint wrinkles. They changed the formula to comply with EPA regs. You can still buy the old formula Krylon it is now known as industrial 5 ball spray paint. Most if not all house hold spray paints are now Enamel.
