Not much into rubber power myself but here are a couple links that look interesting. Lots of stuff online if you use google.

Rubber band airplanes, while being a simple concept, have a lot of artistry and techno-know how behind them. If you are trying to build a scale airplane, I've been a fan of Guillows for many, many years (I'm 40). If you are looking for endurance airplanes, and this is where the fun comes in, you need to look into mylar films, extremely light frames, and competition rubbers (I never miss an opportunity to say 'competition rubbers'). Silicone lubricant is a must (once again, I am laughing to myself) for the rubber band.

If you are looking into endurance, check out scoinc.org. Try to find the event called, "Wright Stuff."

Look at the first link in post 2...which I also gave in the other thread where you posted the same question. That really is as simple as a rubber powered plane gets.

$10 will not get you an RC plane.

The 'Squirrel' rubber power model is about as cheap and easy as it gets: http://www.rubber-power.com/

You will need some balsa wood and a plastic propeller to make one but you do not need to buy a kit, all the parts are listed on the web site: http://www.rubber-power.com/Squirrel...ctionSheet.pdf

For RC you can get small RC toy planes aimed at young children, like for instance 'Air-Hogs' quite cheap, maybe $25 or so. But they are really not in the same league as 'proper' RC models like you see in this forum.

I would think you could order kits online, even in India. Do you have access to balsa wood from a hobby shop or craft type vendor? If so, you can download any number of plans from the internet and build it from scratch.

If you are interested in RC airplanes, you can keep costs fairly low by purchasing less expensive electronics over a period of time. Be creative! Look around you for materials that are light and can be used in the building of an RC airplane. I find new things all the time!
