Problem with that plane is that it will likely use non standard RC components that cant readily interchanged with mainstream RC gear.
Is the speed controller separate from the receiver or is it built into one unit? If the speed controller a separate unit and if you are good with a soldering iron then any brushed speed controller might work but it's hard to guarantee because the SDM speed controller may be a bespoke and specially designed to work with the SDM receiver. If you could take a photo of the part in question and post here then at least I could say if it had the same input and output wires? If you got it recently then cant you take the problem back to the vendor who sold it? Steve |

Thanks for the response Steve....I bought the plane off Craigs list, So probably can't return it. The controller is a separate box, It plugs into the receiver with a plug that has red, black and white wires. It has red and black wires for the battery plug, black and red wire power motor leads, black and red wires to the on/off switch, red and black wires to the push button start switch. My camera is not working at this time, needs a new battery.
Hope this info will help, Again thanks. Ray Wallace |

ok, that sounds like a standard brushed ESC. Some of the guys in the USA can probably advise on dealers in country but you are looking for something like this speed controller: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9090
At 20 Amp rated that one is possibly overkill, 10-15 amp should be enough for your model but higher rated will work ok, just a little heavier. Steve |
