I went flying yesterday afternoon ( had the day off) and for once it was good flying weather. I flew a model I have just finished building and was ready to fly another plane. I inadvertantly switched my radio from mode 2 (what we use here in the states) to Mode 1 which is what is used overseas. I knew something was wrong when the ESC didn't make it's usual beeps. I moved the right stick and the motor began to run. I immediately thought did I put mix my channels up on the reciever? Then those famous words came to my brain...." When in doubt don't!" I loaded everything up and went home with my model still in one piece...well two the wing and fuselage.
I reviewed the manual for my transmitter and realized what I had done. Yep....why not get that manual down from it hiding place and review it when it is too windy to fly or it is raining. I know I will! You just might save a model from crashing!
