With that equipment came 3 AR6100E receivers. I also got an AR 7000 in the package. I understand these AR6100s are park flyer range rated. OK, so what kind of actaul range should I expect? I am in the process of putting a mini Telemaster together, 45" wingspan. that I will need a receiver for. |

1.7 miles tested on the ground.
Range is not an issue - shadowing is. ![]() Mike |

So maybe I had better forget about these park flyer receivers and maybe use the AR7000 that I have?

Heavens no - your little Telemaster would be invisible at 1.7 miles. Your 6100 is perfect for that.

So do I have to worry about shadowing with the 6100 and how do you prevent it?
I will assume by the orientation of the antenna wires? |

You should not have any issues in small planes.

Keep the antenna(s) away from metal and carbon-fiber control rods, and be aware the major thing to shadow the antenna could be the battery.
I'm wondering the best-way to range-test- buddy with the plane with a walkie-talkie? I'm good to about 200 feet on my orange-RX with a satellite RX with my DX5 in range-test mode. Dave |

I've used AR6100's almost exclusively. They work well for parkflyer type aircraft (under 50" wingspan). Just be sure to keep some separation between the battery and the RX.
