Default Exceed RC 2.4 GHz War Hawk 300

Exceed RC 2.4 GHz War Hawk 300 sold by Xheli is really a nice looking MD500 NOTR. Body is done in a nice Police package with strobe lights and also stationary lighting. It comes with a 2.4g transmitter with easy to use LCD window for setting up trims. There is no (low/high) throw switches. It's a basic 4 channel radio. Out of the box, charge up a 800ma lipo battery (comes with heli) and open the access panel under the fuse, connect the JST connector (leave the battery out while receiver and gyro engage). Turn on transmitter, wait for the solid red light...(binding) complete control check and place battery in the heli. Shes ready for flight. My TX needed to be set to default, it was set to mode 1. The manual is easy to read for setting defaults.
The heli flies very nice, CG is set by shifting battery fore and aft. I placed mine forward and lift to hover was no problem at all. The heli is stable in hover once out of ground effect and is very smooth on the controls. This heli will fly in little wind and trims can be adjusted accordingly. NOW THE BAD: The worst blades I have ever seen and the landing gear appears to be made to break. I was very disappointed in these two critical parts of the heli. Until Exceed decides to use more forgiving blades and a stronger landing gear...I would tell all new heli pilots to stay away from this one. If you do purchase it, you better order spare blades and landing gear. Over all, a very fun heli, looks very cool in flight and a neat little addition to scale looking heli's.
