Default EPP F-22 Scratch build, first pusher jet.

Hi everyone,

Here are a few pictures of the EPP F-22 Raptor that I built from scratch using EPP foam. This is my very first scratch build! So I was more than a little apprehensive at the start of the build but all in all it went pretty seamless, no major mishaps other than I forgot to add the carbon rod between the fuselage half's. I had to do a follow up procedure and cut it back open to add the carbon rod...a little glue and some color and you don't really notice the slice. I maidened her a few days ago when the weather was nice and can't complain, she flew as expected, a fun pusher jet for sure.

If anyone is interested in the plans on this fun little plane check them out here.http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showa...6&d=1189403380

She looks good, Timewarp! It was a joy to watch you nail the maiden flight. Job well done on your first build.

You'll be ready for a 107" electrified B-17 before you know it.

Please call me John. I came up w/ Max2112 when I thought you were all internet predators after me Lucky Charms!!

Thanks!

Since the build I have added a few mods to help protect the electronics. I added a middle fin and two short tail fins as well to the underside of the fuselage. I reinforced them with zip-strips and epoxy, now I can land and I don't have to worry about digging grass or mud out of the electronics and servos.
