Default blade twitch

I know its an older heli, but i have a blade cp+.
living in new england gives me very limited flying places and time, so i never really mastered it.
Im finally down to hovering nicely, but i have noticed a problem lately.
with the heli on and the 4 in 1 initialized, sometimes for no reason (im sure there is a reason though), the main rotor jumps into a high rpm for just a moment.
If im in the house testing, sometimes the twitch will actually be so high that the heli leaves the ground and will hit something if its close enough and destoy the rotor blades.
this will happen with the radio on or off.
I even tried changing crystals (flight channels) to see if there was something in the area interferring.
but no luck.
any ideas please ?

With the radio OFF?!? Well, the right way to use your equipment is transmitter on first, transmitter off last. So your helo is never on without the radio on. No good having a pissed off blender flying out of control through the house!

Sounds like it's a 72mhz from the chrystal bit, so it's a glitching issue. Could be as simple as the antennae running next to something metal or other wiring. Has the antennae wire been cut or otherwise damaged?

Default twitch.

yeah, i know about the radio on first and off last. i was just trying to diagnose it. but the antennae does have 1 or 2 spots that the rubber was rubbed off and has bare copper exposed, but theres no other damage. and you are coorect with the 72mhz,
