Found this site that seems really well put together and quite accurate. The main things I look at are wind and precipitation when planning my flying activities. This would be useful year round but it is especially helpful for me in the windier & wetter seasons. Many weather sites and news broadcasts seem very hit & miss. Everyday here in the Pacific NW the weather broadcasters say winds are to be 5-15 which covers their ego but is not very helpful:

I really HATE to load all the crap in the car and then not be able to fly and waste gas running around! It appears to be world wide and based on the needs of glider, hang glider, kite surfers etc. but very useful for RC. Nathan at checkthesock.com
