I need a 4s 35c ans a 6s 35c lipo. Where is a good place to buy decent batteries at a fair price. Hobbycity in Hong Kong wants $45.00 in shipping!

Hobby King has a US warehouse (if you are in the US) and shipping is cheap and fast. Limited selection though...

In addition to HK US...I have had good luck ( sky lipo), and good prices on batteries thru hobbypartz.com. They offer free shipping over $50.

question,since they are the cheaper batteries on their site,are these the same as those throw away batteries at hking. think i'll go genace next time.

been meaning to try valuehobby...but there are so many choices out there ,i don't know which ones to order.

Sorry but i'd have to say go for the Hobbyking/Hobbycity turnigy batteries or there Nano-Tech batteries as i've used the Gens Ace batteries and i still find my Nano-Techs are better and worth the shipping in my book,at the end of the day it's up to you where you buy yours but i can only say what i use and what i've found to be the better battery and price.

Like someone else said use the Hobbyking in the USA as the shippin will be a cheaper.

Just my two pennies worth,hope you get sorted out in the end.

I like Hobbypartz. The Gens Ace batteries are very good. Worth the extra few cents. Nice thing about Hobbypartz is that shipping is about $10 whether you order 1 battery or 10 batteries. Just keep in mind that most of their batteries have the 4mm HXT type connector so you would either need to get adaptors for your ESC or change all your ESC connectors to 4 mm HXT. I like these connectors so I have switched all my ESC to 4 mm HXT. Best place for getting the 4mm HXT connectors is HobbyKing.

I'd have to cast a vote for Value Hobby's G-Force. Unusual to find a source here in the midwest, but the warehouse is 10 miles from my office here in the suburbs of Chicago. They even offer local pickup, and the price is more than fair.

i'v been using the 1300mah and 1000mah 30c g-forces in the foamies. they are holding up very well so far and are not puffing when pushed a little beyound what they should be in the parkjet,also have the hobbypartz blue lipos.


the one thing i wonder about hobby partz batteries is what the difference is between genace,blue lipo,skylipo,black lipo...ect..ect,are they a..b..c grade batteries.

I think I have at least one of each. Zippy, Blue Lipo,Grayson, Gens Ace, etc.
I don't push them too hard but my favorite so far has been the Nano Tech 4s 30C's from HK. I won't buy anything without at least a 25C rating. When I started , I didnt know any better. A high C rating makes a huge difference.

This has been awhile, but check this out. They have a range of ampere hour capacity cells. (I've no experience with this company, or type of battery though.)

I'll add a plug for alleRC and Hyperion batteries. The Hyperions are better than Thunder Power in my opinion. They cost a little more but they last a lot longer.
