Default Eagle Tree Speed module

I'm considering fitting the airspeed module from Eagle Tree to my EDF for monitoring the speed development.
I have looked at GPS data logging as well - but this is significantly more expensive, higher weight and requires eLogger box as well.

One item remains with the speed module - it remembers highest speed obtained during a switched on period. The actual point of the max speed measurement is not known.

Question - is there any way to switch this module on / off in flight using an electronic switch ? (I'm not into DIY construction - needs to be a plug in lightweight solution). The idea being that it be connected to RX via this switch ... when EDF reaches start point of run - flick switch, logger starts .. complete ruin and flick switch to switch logger of. land - logger displays last speed recorded.

This way I can get the actual speed on the official run straight and level.

?? Any ideas ??
