Default Sky surfer?

I'm a beginner pilot, and I couldn't find the Bixler, so I am wondering if the Sky surfer will suffice. it looks pretty much the same, and I found a good deal on it.

My own opinion is to go with something different. The one I flew was heavy and kinda clunky and stalled at a rather high airspeed for a beginner plane. Have you looked at other models? Are you looking for a mid-wing or low wing design or just a basic trainer?

Best wishes,

Dave

I have a sky surfer, I'm pleased with it so far but I added all my own equipment, and it's quite overpowered. With that said, it glides very nicely and is pretty forgiveable to mistakes. The Bixler is an identical plane, and is often in and out of stock at hobbyking.

Other options to consider would be a GWS Slow Stick, though you'll need to add your own equipment. Or the ever-popular Hobbyzone Super Cub. You can find this as an RTF so you won't need to spend another dime.

I have flown airhogs jets, as well as my own early-monoplane-ish thing that I'm flying now.
