Default Peter Rake 18" Se5

Here is a 18" Peter Rake SE5 laser cut short kit from Manzano Lazer. The kit is great and the build only took 2 days. Weigh as shown without electronics is 19 grams. The plans call for the motor and electronics used in the Parkzone Vapor. I have not decided if I am going to use tissue or light plastic film.

Here she is done and flying. Covered with Domestic tissue applied with 50/50 Elmers glue and water. They I brushed on 2 coats of dope. Flying weight is at 40 grams, the Vapor motor did not have enough power.
I received my Champ Motor in the mail and put it in the Se5 today and she flew great. She balanced out perfectly with no trimming or added weight. It was a little windy but the Se5 did ok, would definitely perform awesome indoors or on a calm day. The Se5 flies at half throttle, but opening it up is impressive. Once again, this was cut by Manzano Laser and built per the plans minus changing out the Vapor motor for the Champ motor. I had to enlarge the 2 holes in the plywood motor mount, add a battery extension cable and made the Motor cable longer to reach the receiver. I hope Charlie can produce this kit for others to enjoy, once again a great kit and design.
