Default Found Futaba T7CAP on C.L. $125, good radio?

I found a Futaba T7CAP on craigs list for &125.00. The package has Trans, 4 receivers, 4 survos. Looks to be in good condition. What do you guys think?

If the RX and servos are Futaba I would say yes. But, not a lot of people want 72 anymore so some may have a different answer. I have two T7caps and like them. So much that I went with a 7c for my first 2.4 radio.

I don't know what alla the brouhaha about people not wanting 72mhz anymore. I still use my 7C'S 72mhz radios. I love them. I do own a Spectrum DX7 but I bought it second hand so I could buy bind and fly micros. I think a lot to do about it is the frequency boards and not getting shot down. 72mhz has better range and is not effected by o ejects in the line of sight. Been flying since the 70'S ans have never been shot down but have crashed a truckload becsuse I'm a lousy pilot.

The guy did say that it has Futaba receiver and servos. I'm just not too sure about the old 72 when everyone is going to the 2.4. I did stop by the local hobby store today and looked at the radios and I must say I liked the Spectrum DX6i better than the Futaba’s I looked at. It just seems that the Spectrum’s were built better. I liked how clear the screen was on the DX6i. Looked like the Spectrum’s would be much easier to program than the Futaba.

WAY too much money for an OLD outdated system. You would easily find a used DX7 for that - a far better way to go IMHO.

Did you buy?

that radio, one receiver and probalby 2 servos went for about $280 new. With 4 servos and 4 receivers used, is not a bad deal but I would offer him $100.

Nothing wrong with 72 MHz, but remember you MUST observe frequency control on 72 MHz. This is becoming easier as more and more move to 2.4 GHz, but you can't ignore it and you MUST make sure that others on the field on 72 MHz are also observing frequency control.

If you fly with others, find out what channel this radio is on. Check with your 72 MHz friends to see that no one else is on that channel. You can't easily change channel on a Futaba 7C.

No I didn't buy it. After looking the different radios over I think I'm going to go with the Spectrum DX6i. It just seems like a nicer radio than the Futaba. I went down to the LHS today and they had sold the DX6i I looked at the other day so I will just have to wait until the get more in stock.
