Default What degree of skill is needed for T-34 mentor

Im am looking at buying a T-34 Eflite Mentor, my skills are mostly beginer level. What skill level would be needed to fly and land this plane? Does it
require alot of air speed to get it up, I have a Super Cub and a slow stick that's the skill level I would like to stay at, not much more.

Do you have anyone to help you with it at your flying site? Here's a link with a mess of info and a Vid as well,, she looks like a sweety to fly and you should be able to fly it with a little help like a friend with a buddy-box or close enough to hand the Tx over if things get dice'ze, there are other very similar planes out there around 40' wing-spans that folk's rave about that ain't as pricey but look Great! It is a great flying plane - but I would go to the T-28 Trojan first.

Here is my review on the T-34 a fantastic plane but needs a club field and speed to fly. It is a heavy plane not a parkflyer.

Default T-34

The T-34 is just a little larger but flys pretty much the same as a T-28 . Just remember to keep the speed up a little when landing ,fly it on to the ground. First notch of flap (if they are used) will lower the stall speed and slow the landing. It doesn't take much flap to make it balloon up at any speed .

I love my alpha 450 sport, its a good trainer, and beginning airplane for alerions. Has very good stall characteristics, and uses a 1800-2200mah 3 cell, which you might already have from your cub or slowstick. It also uses cheap micro servo's and a stanrdard sized 450 motor. I use the power up 450 sport from www.headsuprc.com , and it has awesome verticle and pleanty of power, while wtill being very light.

Nice plane to putt around slower, and I love doing touch and goes with it. It also classified as a parkflyer. Here's one of my vids showing how gentle it is, and how easy to fly and how well my setup performs on a 1800 30c battery.

Hopefull one of those two links work.

Great plane, but ballons up a bit with speed, and needed like 10 clicks of down trim with the battery all the way forwards.
