Spektrum DX8, Blue Lipo 3300mah 40C (extremely tight fit) The sound alone is worth the $$$ of this plane. http://youtu.be/E1_TvtFE-H8 |

I've been wanting to get this plane from the day Hobbyking had them up on there site,I really like the HK Durafly range now and i've got a couple of them now and i think you get a lot for your money with them, anyway at the moment the Durafly DH-100 Vampire EDF is my favorite.
I've been told by the Mrs i've got to wait a while before i can buy anymore planes, other priorities at the moment. Didn't you post a video of your F-16 with a brown out issue too? i've been using the HK orange rx 610 in quite a lot of my EDF's and warbirds with out any problems, some with a satellite but most with out with my DX6i for about 3 years and for the last 4 to 5 months i've been flying them on my DX8 with out any problems too,so i'm not sure whats going on with yours though but i've had better luck with the orange rx's than i have with the Spektrum own brand rx's. I used the Spektrum AR500 in my old Stryker only to have it come down because of lost signal (brown out/lock out) but when i replaced it with an orange rx i never had a problem,ok i know some of the Spektrum AR500 where meant to be a bit bad so maybe i had one of them,i think i can remember reading thats why Spektrum brought out there AR600. Any way i hope you soon find out whats going on with yours and thanks for sharing the videos on here as i've enjoyed watching them.

F-16 belonged to Fishbone a friend of mine. Up till now ive used a lot of orange recievers. My sonic 185 clocked 1400ft altitude and not one glitch. I run the satellite attachment always. My Stryker burns up the sky's with orange Reciever /w sat. This last orange Reciever was a new batch I just got last week. Anyhow I just picked up a new spektrum Ar400 originally $29 then minus $5 coupon stacked $10 text coupon = $14 from hobby town . I'm going to test in my new funfighter rarebear. I think I have to be better about placement in airplane for better reception. ZEPHYR so compact no room at all ... I now run satellite to outside wing or implant on bottom in foam. I really like spektrum Ar 6210's w/ sat. When i bought my dx8 it came with 3 extra recievers and thats what ive used In my last 3 planes until Zephyr. I'm new to rc flying - only flying 2 yrs. first year nothing but wild hawk from Harbor Frieght. Jumped right to strykers next ...... I love how fast and slow they can perform.
I use dx6i for glider & strykers - my dx8 for sbach, funfighter , and edf jets Just now on forums trying to learn all I can from you pros. I don't believe in reinventing the wheel when I can learn from others. |

I like this plane. The sound is just awesome. Closeest to real jet sound I have ever heard in an electric. Does semm fast WyomingOutdoors has not speed tested yet that I know of but I am sure it may do 90 plus MPH. However, why they made it a "sailplane" not so sure cuz it seems very heavy and I cant see it stying in a thermal for very long. I hope I am wrong hopefully some more people will chim in here for some more opinions and education.
Definitly a unique plane.I should also say I do not own this plane I have just tossed it for WyomingOutdoors. So its only my observations

Sorry WyomingOutdoors but i knew the field and video looked familiar to me even if it was a different model,
![]() I'm far from a pro mate as i've only been flying RC for three years more than you mate and i'm still learning all the time, thats all part of it for me as the learning cure is a lot bigger than i first thought, don't get me wrong because i like that part of the hobby as if makes it more interesting for me. Like i said in my fist post i really like this plane too,she is quite high on my wish list with out any doubts,i've seen a few good videos of this plane and some good reports too just like yours and Fishbonez ones,so keep them coming mate as all the info we can get on a new model is always a good thing in my book man. |
