I'm considering picking one up and would like an opinion of this smaller version. I've flown the ParkZone 44", 2 blade prop version a few times and though my pilot skills are not the greatest, I really enjoyed it and never had alot of difficulty managing it in the air.....landings were a little touchy, but that's just my lack of experince with the tricycle gear. Any thoughts are appreciated....thanks..! |

Wow...more that 60 looks and so far no one has any input on this plane......hate to be the first guy on the block to try one of these.......lol....for under a $100.00 RTF & shipped it might be worth a go.....I'll continue research and check back.....!

Done with research.....found two sites that have some nice info on the 800mm Airfield T-28....the type I've been looking at is a Dynam knock off...pretty much the same.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1471856 http://www.andygraber.com/what-i-do/...ld-t-28-trojan Seems, like all smaller light planes, the C/G is touchy on this model but the 1600mAh 7.4v battery or 800mAh 11.1v should help. From the videos, she's quick (not fast), needs plenty of take off space and glides fairly well under a little power for landings.........also seems to handle wind btw 5 & 8mph ok......which is what I deal with most of the time. Since I've only trained on 42" and 44" wing span high wings (had an Edge 540 I inherited, but sold it...way to much plane for me at the time)....I'm a little apprehensive, may wait on this until I get more confidence and land my Pipers without incident every time out! I'm sure they'll be around for awhile.....seem pretty popular with the warfare plane guys. |
