http://www.maxamps.com/Jigs-Up.htm ![]() About The Jigs Up: "The Jigs Up" makes the task of soldering RC connectors simple and easy! This jig quickly and securely clamps, holds, and releases the connector. The Jigs Up holds the following connectors: Deans Ultra, Traxxas High-current, XT60, EC3, EC5, and Deans Micro. It also holds 2mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, and 6.5mm bullet connectors. The holes on top of the jig are used to hold 3.5mm-6.5mm bullet connectors. The "v" slots on the front of the jig are used to hold the 2mm bullet connectors and the pins for the Traxxas connectors. The slot on the right side of the jig is used for Deans Ultra, Traxxas, and XT60 connectors. The slot on the left side of the jig is used for Deans Micro connectors. |

It photographs well but it has its dings and repairs and extra screw-holes, but you can't see any of that when it flies by.
I have a pair of boring wheels on it while I dial in how it likes to land. Thread at http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67219 |

Haven't had a chance to try it out, but this soldering jig looks like a handy little critter!
Looks like the AL block will keep the heat damage to Deans etc connectors to a minimum if you tend to cook 'em when soldering on leads. Now, if the plane only wasn't 'in' for repairs (for the 2nd time in a week...), damn thing flies nicely but if you are low, slow, and need to add a bunch of power because you messed up the landing or approach, it bites back pretty hard. Doesn't have enough aileron authority to override the gyroscopic forces from the motor and prop, even at speed. |
