Default transmitter

Looking for my first computer transmitter. i have a dx5e, but want to step up.

budget is $250....

looking for something like the hitec eclipse 7pro, dx6i (or 7s).

wanting something i can grow with, but don't need top of the line stuff!!

If you can swing it, I'd go for the Spektrum DX7s. I had two DX7's for five years, one as a backup. Never had to use the backup transmitter. Even once.

And, in January this year, I shipped my primary DX7 transmitter along with 6 receivers to Horizon Hobby "For a check over". Horizon checked everything out, and returned it to me. NO CHARGE! They even paid return shipping.

A club member did have a problem with a three year old DX7. The throttle stick got a little erratic. Shipped it to Spektrum, got it back no charge.

(Well, he did pay something like $25 for next day delivery)

Now, I'm flying with a DX8 transmitter, and am very happy with it.
