As you may or may not know, WF will be hosting a model airplane building clinic on 29 Sep. We have 31 participants signed up right now and only 2 instructors. I'd like to get at least 10 of at all possible. To learn more and volunteer, please see this thread here: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67588 We would love for you guys to share your talents with the newcomers to this hobby. As you know, building a model airplane is a very rewarding experience and if we can get these guys off on the right foot with some quality instruction, I am sure it will go a long way in helping to see how rewarding building a model airplane can be. And you can even sign up to build a plane as well if you wish. Thoughts and questions welcomed here or in the other thread. Thanks in advance. Frank |

Come on WF members! Let's show those other big RC forums that WF members really like to build airplanes. We have 7 participants on WF right now. Help me out and let's get at least 10 folks building in this clinic. Shoot, let's go even bigger and get 15! What do you say?!

i'll be building in the winter if it gets snowy and cold,i started the "bird of time" kit last winter but the weather was flyable on weekends and she sits in wait mode for the building season to start up again
. i'll follow along and offer tips i'v been given over the years from other builders. the building thread is a great idea to get a bunch of us builders together, hope to maiden the great planes converstion kit build in the morning.....just finished the eflite power 60 install with a cc 100amp ice esc, also installed an arming switch using deans connectors since the batteries are bottom fed and locked in a tough place. heres a picture of where it hung upsidedown for over 2 years due to having other birds to fly and didn't require breaking down to load in the car...lol[man,i'm lazy ]

narrow is the place to land.
..wide is the space to crash ....choose the narrow way!

I'm not sure if you want this but it is a little tutorial I did on using Gorill Glue to fill gaps in foam.
http://youtu.be/QOB87l-r6Io If you want to use it then there you go - and - if not just let me know and I'll delete the post! LOL!! Although this little video is about filling in a foam ding I wish I had video'ed the slicing open of the E-Flite AT-6 wing center section and subsequent filling of the grids with GG in the same manner to strengthen it. That might have been the one you would have wanted. I may be able to do one along those lines still though as I have a "old timer" that was given to me with a crushed tail plane so I will look into repairing it in the same manner and see if that can be done. If I do I will let you know. Hillbille |

It isn't the mistake that causes the crash - it the time it takes to realize that it WAS a mistake!!

Well shucks. No volunteers for instructors for the building clinic.
Hopefully we'll be OK. I don't have as much time as I'd like to monitor the threads. Some help would be great. Newcomers need all the support we can give them. Frank |

I am happy to help but don't see the instructor role's and responsibilities. Can you point out the post (rather then the whole thread)?
