Every year the Long Island Silent Flyers , www.lisf.org , host two Eastern Soaring League unlimited sailplane TD contests.

The next one will be in Septermber on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd. These will be two individual contests so you can fly one or fly both. There will be awards each day and an award for top pilot for the weekend.

We have 24 pilots registered already.

We will be flying Expert and Sportsman pilots so you can register and fly within a group of pilots of your talent level.

We will also have a Novice group for those who are new to the ESL or to competition soaring. Novice pilots fly free.

If you are a good pilot but not talented with a winch, no problem. Many people have someone else handle the winch for them. This is true of novice, sportsman and expert pilots. So don't let lack of winch experience keep you away.

This will be flown as two one day contests. So you can Saturday or Sunday or both. Up to you.
We look forward to seeing you there.
