Question Blade sr to parkjet

Hi. I am looking to use the motor, servos, and batteries from my Blade SR to scratch build a profile foam parkjet. Seems that's all the SR is good for anyway is parts-good receiver, decent gyro. Can anyone give me some specs on the 3900 Kv main motor as concerning prop size and ESC? I don't have the equipment to determine wattage and the battery is the stock 11.1 3s 1000 mAh rated at 15C. I'm guessing about a 4.1x4.1 prop and a 10a brushless ESC but that's just a ballpark- haven't tried it yet. Think it's gonna burn up?

The average parkjet will kick a lot more than 10A ... and if you are planning on a 3900kv motor - believe it or not the amps will go ballistic compared to a heli.

eg : My 450 Heli motor, 3700kv .... works fine with a 35A generic ESC, 3S 2100 LiPo on a Trex 450 clone.
Put it on my HK Parkjet with a 4.75x4.75 prop and same battery - I need a 70A ESC .....

Yep - amazing !! but true.

Wow...didn't realize gearing a motor down took that much load off a motor! Thanks for the heads up, Nigel. I'm one of those nitro guys that has finally relented and accepted the fact that electrics have finally come of age. So many advantages over nitro that a slightly reduced flight time and the lack of "real sound" are worth dealing with. Well, back to the drawing board- my backup plan is to find a gearbox and slow it down for some 3D flying. Perhaps a profile Pitts Viper is in the works- we'll just have to see! Thanks again!
