I've had them attack my planes a few times. They can do a number on a glider when they want too.

We have a fair number of buzzards in our field and pretty much this is the only hawk. I've been seeing "him" (could be a "her" I reckon) most of the spring and summer.
But he spends a fair amount of time sitting on the same post which is very close to us. I guess he's realized we're no threat to him. Don--Maybe I asked you already....Your bike in your avatar--is that a Gold Wing or a BMW K1200 LT? Looks like a Wing but can't tell for sure. Wayne |

Cool! We see hawks regularly at our field. Don't know if they are the same ones or such. They all look the same to me!
Anyways, one day I happened to notice 2 of them flying a bit low over our parking lot, and at one point they flew towards each other then both turned up at the same time, at which point one 'threw' something, I think a rat or small squirrel, at the other who caught it! I figured it was a date, and he was feeding his gal lunch? |

These taken today. One of our members was flying his foam Eagle, when he landed the Hawk actually flew from one of his many perches around the field and landed a few feet from the RC bird to check it out. I couldn't get my camera out fast enough to get that pic!
