Default Tower Hobbies F4U Corsair

I am totally loving my new Tower Corsair. It is a kick in the pants and I am loving the flight characteristics of this bird. And to boot you can't beat the price!

I don't really call what we have at the 114th as grass - more like forest. Sadly - I am about ready to leave the club - you can't take anything off from the ground there it is so bad - I am not kidding! Even my 9ft Telemaster with 4.5" wheels has issues!

He has got to mow closer and more regularly. It is to the point where I am ready to bring my own mower out!

I have trouble with all my planes out there - so this I am sure would be no exception. Makes me mad - I pay too much to only use hand launch. I need to have a serious sit down chat with Mark.

Thanks Mike,

I'll send you a PM. This is a very hot topic. I have discussed this with Mark, Bob Hubbard, et al till I'm blue in the face. If you're heli guy, which seems to be taking over, you don't even think about the field conditions. I agree it needs to mowed shorter and more often
Mark will bring up my proposal at the next meeting. I won't be there but Mark will bring it up. I would be happy with at least a take off area. Worse case, could still belly land.

Frankly, guys are not even buying parkflyers with retracts for this reason. So,then they don't think there's a problem. It gobbled-up my DH-88 Comet. In fact, there are larger planes over 3.5 # with retracts or fixed gear that have a problem on this field. Large gassers? No problem.

But is that the future ?

Not it is not - in fact I think our future is we will lose the field to noise but I was hoping for "E" only at that point!

Heck if they get a decent riding mower - not that HUGE thing they use I will mow for free! Then it will be short enough.
