Tip for changing D gear on Blade 130X

So I figured out a simple trick to make changing the D gear a little easier. Works for me maybe it will help someone else

Thanks for the tip, will keep it in mind if I pick one of these up. Just curious, how frequently are the tail drive gears blowing out - is it pretty much guaranteed in every crash, or do they survive the lesser impacts? I've gotten so spoiled by the amount of abuse my mCPx handles......not that I expect the 130X to fare quite as well in a hard hit.

I've had 5 or 6 crashes in about 75 flights. Two of the crashes I was trying to do low tic tocs and the tail hit first and both times stripping the D gear. The other crashes I had no damage.
