Blade CP - Lipo Conversion help

Hey guys,

I've had my Blade CP for years and haven't flown it in forever. I remember being upset about the flight/charge times and so I hung it up.

I now have a renewed spirit and want to try it again, but this time I want to convert it to Lipo, because I'm looking for 15-20min flight times.

My goals are casual flight, with moderate hovering, nothing aerobatic really as I don't have that skill. Just something to play around with 2-3 times a week.

Can you guys tell me what I need to make the transition to Lipo and with the following goals:

1. Minimum investment
2. 15-20min flight times
3. reliable main and tail motor

From the reading I've done, I think I would be best served with a 3cell 1300mah battery and a 8-9 tooth pinion gear. PLease correct me if I'm wrong.

Do we still use the stock brushed motor? What about the 4-in-1? Can it handle the current? How do you ensure you don't kill the Lipo with excessive draining?

What type was the stock battery, and what capacity/voltage?

Lost the battery years ago, but I'm fairly confident it was a 9.6v nimh.
