Thanks for the heads up on this!
When he hit 60,000 feet I had time to get to HD get what i needed and got back with plenty of time to spare before his jump. I can't imagine the forces he must of felt going well over 700 MPH. You can hear him at one point saying he almost passed out. Must of been when he was spinning so fast. That was awesome to watch! |

freaking outstanding!!!!that was incredible to watch live...my heart was racing for him as he stepped out on the capsules ledge.....woooosh! what a rush to be falling from that height. i truly said a prayer for him as he tumbled for a bit. very cool vid!!
 oh yeah,by luck i turned it on 5 mins before he jumped.

Have they released his actual speeds and altitude yet? We don't get too much TV out here and my internet is wireless and limited so I can't do the Utube thang..

He jumped at about 128000 feet give or take 500 feet or so. Highest speed I saw on the estimated speed they had on the youtube cast was about 729mph. Not sure if its been made official yet. Haven't looked.
Was pretty crazy and amazing at the same time. |
