use a low temp covering, Monokote requires high heat and is not a good choice for foam covering.

another covering you can use on foam is colored packing tape. a lot of the rc wings are covered with colored tape

I have had very good results with covering a foamie with Ekonocote. Like Chellie said, this one is a bit lighter and designed for lower heat applications. The only drawback I have for the Ekonocote is the limited color choices ( 8 or so primary colors).

Here are some pics of my Phase3 F-16.

I've also had great success covering foamies with low-temp Econocote. Here are a few examples. As you can see, Econocote works with all kinds of foam.

My "chopped & clipped" Stryker C (epp foam);

fan-fold blue foam "Little Bit";

I made this from the wings of a GWS ME-109 (eps foam I believe);

And this creation was made from a styrofoam chuck glider and blue foam;

This Christen Eagle from Byron Originals is covered with the HobbyKing covering material. Very much the same as Ultra cote. Very inexpensive and does an excellent job, especially when you have to use this much.
