Any negative consequence to running a higher mAh battery?

I'm flying an Ares Gamma 370. It came with a 1000mAh 2s1p 20c battery. Would it hurt anything to run, say for example, a 1300mAh 2s1p 25c in it? Would it just give me longer flight time, or would it affect power output?

Weight and how it affects balance is your only consideration. Check the CG with the other battery and you will likely be just fine.

Yes it will affect power - you will have a bit more so that is a bonus. Yes run time will be longer as well.

Weight is a big factor. If you go too far your plane wont fly well, if at all, but just going from 1000 to 1300 should be ok.

You also need to think about the physical size of the battery. Some planes have very tight battery bays and you might not be able to fit in larger batteries.
