Default Dynam Meteor advice

Well, apart from my two hk Stingers, rebuilt Habu plus a Habu 2 airframe,my lovely wife has just bought me a Dynam Meteor.I have been looking at a few youtube clips and am very impressed with the sound of the Change Sun 10 blade fans.Im thinking about the possibility of installing a 10 blade set up in the Meteor.
Now,i have a few 4s 3300 packs and was hoping to use these in the Meteor. Still being new to edfs,im not sure exactly what motor, fan, esc, battery combo would be best. Im slowly picking up the basics of electric flight but still not quite sure.
Any help or advice would be great. Just love that whoosh sound of a 10 blade.

I barely have a grasp on props, and edf's are an even bigger mystery to me, so I just buy them as pre-assembled, pre-balanced combo's so I know what I'm getting.

Anyways, so I don't know about that stuff, but here's a thread on 'that other' forum that may help you out:

Just one quick question,as i said before,i have 6 3300 4s lipos that i was using in the habu, will they be okay to use in the Meteor? I will be hand launching as i had no problems hand launching the Habu.

4s 3300 is a little heavy for my tastes, but it will certainly fly fine. Personally, I've found that although the flight times are short with smaller batteries, the meteor really flies amazing with light batteries. You can really turn on a dime if its light enough.

Also, the stock equipment for the meteor is not rally all that bad. I'd get a better ESC if you intend to do 5S, but the stock motor is pretty decent and I have a lot of hours on mine without fault.

Well,i have been flying for the last couple of months, everything stock,on 3700 5s. Fantastic performer. Virtually pulls away from my hand on an underhand launch.I have had around 20 flights now with no problems.

For the price, the stock setup is really very good. There is no shortage of power, and it glides really well no matter what you put in it. The only reason I suggested a better ESC is that mine did start to cut out on me when flying 5S, but it could have just been a bad ESC... or maybe the ambient temperature was just too warm.

It is a very good plane though, and very fun to fly...
