He is lucky no one had any trailer pulling mirrors like mine.
I wonder if he was hiding something at end or just looking for the off switch. |

I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't missing some of his fingers...
What traffic jam? When I was a kid, I used to drive my dads bike like an idiot. After locking up the tire down sifting in a turn once or twice and dumping the bike over on my leg at 40mph or so, I smartened up a bit. I just to call it playing pac man... |

call me crotchety and old,but after driving through NYC traffic for many years only to be scared sh..less when a motor cycle would come outa no where splitting lanes while the rest of us are doing slow to 40 mph for miles ,always pissed me off and cursing mad since i don't watch for that when cars are bumper to bumper. swore if he has an accident screwing up traffic more ...i'd be sure to get out where he was laying and with as helpful a look i could muster ask him....."hows it feel a-hole,serves you right
".OK,so i wouldn't really wish any biker injury as I've ridden many years and have also done some crazy things...but lane splitting was never one of them. if i ever clipped a lane splitter resulting in his seriouse injury I'd probably have another heart attack .

Agreed, total lack of skills between his ears. Ive been lucky enough to learn when younger riding dirt bikes....of course, showing off and not thinking I danced with a stop sign pole once. Just couldnt believe this guy. Im never going to Russia anyhow.

In 1976 I almost bought a Honda 750 F Supersport right off the show room floor.
Then suddenly my guardian angel hit me with something, and reminded me that I was too stupid on 2 wheels to have a bike like that. I had a home made minibike that went from a lawnmower motor, to a 2 cylinder 125 cc 4 cycle motor with a 4 speed transmission. It would rev over 10,000. 1st & 2nd gear was wheelstand city. This contraption would go over 60 MPH, no suspension and no brakes, just down shift and drag your feet. My guardian angel was too darn tired to let me have a decent road bike for 10 years ! Then 20 years after that I bought a Goldwing. |

Gotta love those Guardian Angels!! I know I have one. Few years ago thinking once about passing a 1/2ton pickup with a bobcat dragging behind, he was tail heavy of course!! barely any steering, some thing just told me not to pass even though it was clear, car came off of side road and cut him off, sent him into the left ditch.
I was thanking the Big Pilot upstairs for days. cr |

2 quickie stories. my wife and i rented a apartment and the super asked me about my old Honda 5504cyl. he said he's buying his son a bike and asked about the racer bikes for a beginer...i said "do not by him a rice rocket for a first bike.....go street wise and size to suit him to get experience. one rice rocket later he dropped it doing racing on rt 46 .hurt pretty bad with a golf ball size hole in his knee.
my scary gl 1000 goldwing ride [among many] was a night ride on rt 9w NJ alpine know for claiming so many lives that it was once recorded in the books top ten deadliest roads of america....i went out on a slightly foggy night and 9w has miles of no exit driving, just woods on a 2 lane highway with a 55mph speedlimit everyone did 65 ......then it became "0" visibility as in i could barely see the line in center of the road under my feet and know other cars to follow.....crap i couldn't wait to get off that road and only hoped not to rear end or collide with someone headon. i still drove around 40mph as i also feared being rear ended by someone else doing 40 .some days I'm surprised the good Lord allowed me to still be living..... .He's definitely had angels working OT while i was growing up.
