Default House of Balsa Super Decathlon

Here is my Super Decathlon from House of Balsa. I built it around 10 years ago and it flys pretty good and is a good aerobatic trainer. Orginally for like a .10 gas engine. It has a cheap Graupner 500R motor with a 2200 nicad 7 cell pack with a 7x4 apc prop. This gets you around 20oz of thrust for a 38oz plane. It doesn't have too many flights on it but I'll be flying more this year. The one crash picture is what happens when you do too many snap rolls. The wing broke in half and it came down like a shot duck. This happened like when it was brand new. It really lacks looking like a scale model with no realistic windows but its still fun to fly.

I did upgrade the battery on this plane to 3s life batt. Its flying better. The plane is somewhat sensitive and gets pushed around at times. Too much elevator will kill any speed built up. It really flys better then the videos show now that I've figured out what it doesn't like.
