Default The trouble with Tribbles... SW800 Hexi

Remember that? Be careful, because I have learned that RC is just like having Tribbles.

Some time ago I decided I wanted a twin... well here we are now and I have 3 twins.

I got a Gaui quad, and really liked it and guess what.... the darn thing multiplied into a Gaui 500 then a DJI Phantom, and now, a SW800!

I've got it set up for a camera gimbal, but haven't bolted it on yet. I wanted to get some trim flights down and those went without issue with that DJI controller.

lol. I remember the Star Trek episode, but I haven't had the pleasure of a multi-copter yet. Looks like fun.

Holy bejezus..... This thing is like a snow leopard... soft and silky in movement, but calculated and intelligent in action. For sure, it is a payload beast.

5 flights yesterday one after the other, just as soon as I could get the batteries juiced up. Love the sound, love the look, and love the absolute looks of confusion as my neighbors see it flying around the 'hood.

Electricity... It's not just for light bulbs anymore.

Just added the camera gymbal, and it works great.
Batteries were ordered also, 6 cell 5000 Thunder Power G5's. 4 packs (do that $$ math)

Unloaded, carrying 6000 MAh of battery, it burns 300 Mah per minute.
It may be more like 350~400 MAh per minute with the camera.

I ditched the thin camera gimbal, as it was really only good for a GoPro.

But, I kid you not guys... these things MULTIPLY !!

Both of these S800's sport DJI Naza controllers, GAUI Crane III gimbals and fly on 10K mAh 6 cell packs.

Talk about commanding the airspace! When these are on station ready for images, they really get your attention with the low rumble of all those motors. Sounds like a B-17 fly by.

Default Gaui Crane III Mount Plate & Hardware

I'm putting together the exact same setup w/ S-800, Crane III, Wookong-M & Spektrum AR7010 receiver. Was wondering how to mount the gimbal. Where did you get your gimbal mount plate and hardware? Any other advice on the setup would be greatly appreciated.
