Anyone have any ideas on shock absorbing motor mounts?

Easy-peasy, but having crashed a lot I don't think I had one crash where it would have helped.

What size plane/motor/size impact?

Ask me why your DX5e is doomed... and how to fix it.

Build to fly, don't build to crash I heard someone say once. of course my planes all look like they went thru a meat grinder so your mileage may vary. Lol.

As far as shock absorbing motor mounts. What kind of plane are we talking?

I'd be worried about the motor mount moving under load. How big of a plane are we talking? A 2 or maybe even 3 cell, you should be able to use a prop adaptar and o rings.

Default motor mount

The motor is a ST 10 on a 39" profile plane. Saw a post a while back about a flexable motor mount and then read about the Bouncer having one also. Had an "incident" while flying a low knife edge, wing tip dragged just a little and propeled the motor into the ground. The mount was damaged enough that I just flew something else. My field repairs tend to be too hasty and not as good as I could have done at home. The post I saw used rubber bands and toothpicks but haven't been able to find it again
