Thought I might make the plunge, I fly other planes such as Trojan T28, Extra 300, Gee Bee, profile planes and some other micros.

Do you think this plane would be fun and a good flyer. Not bad for $100.

Can you confirm motor differences?

How quick is this plane? Is it like a parkzone t28 Trojan?

I have not flown the Hellcat yet but it won't be underpowered. The Corsair has scads of power. Not sure where you are hearing that. I will switch it to the two blade propeller as the are far superior to the three blade. I used the same 3 blade prop on the Corsair and liked the 9x7.5 GWS prop MUCH better.

The vendors provide the planes and review equipment to us at no charge.

They are very much in the speed range of the ParkZone T-28 and fly similarly to it.

These planes perform well, have support for a US major vendor and are value priced. Hard to find much bad about them. My review of the Hellcat should be done soon - as soon as we can get these 25+ MPH winds down.

I've had one of their P-51's for some time now. It's a sweet plane and was a great value at $109 or whatever I paid for it. The Corsair keeps tempting me, as it's one of my favorite planes ever, but I have so many planes...

I have all three of the TH warbirds. I paid $109.00 for my Hellcat shipped to my door. The plane flies great as do the other two. They will fly slow, but spirited too if that's what you want. The beauty of these planes is the quality at such a low price.

I have been eyeing up this plane recently, would this plane be a good upgrade to my Super Cub? I'd like a second plane that I could learn use of ailerons on.

My HZ super cub came with a Specktrum DX4e would I be able to use that Tx with this plane?
Lastly, should I take Tower Hobbies recommendations and purchase these accessories & would this charger be a good once for future use on different planes I may get:
-Flyzone battery 3S 11.1V 1800mAh LiPo, FLZA6024
-Battery Charger: Duratrax Onyx 235 (DTXP4235) recommended
-Charge Lead: SuperTigre LiPo to Banana Plug Charge Lead Adapter

Yes, you can use the DX4e with the plane provided you get a Spektrum compatible RX. Check out HeadsUpHobby's Spektrum compatible RX here: http://www.headsuphobby.com/Power-Up...iver-G-656.htm

Do NOT buy the Flyzone battery. It is very expensive at $50.00 Check out the batteries at www.valuehobby.com or www.HeadsUpHobby.com. Buy a 3s 2200 11.1v 20c battery. With the 2200 battery placed all the way forward, until it touches the firewall, the CG will be dead on. No extra ballast will be needed. Tower sells Super Tiger to Deans battery adapters and I advise you to get one of those since the ESC on the Tower warbirds is Super Tiger and proprietary to their Tower Hobbies and Flyzone brand of planes. If you get the adapter, you would need to get a Dean's adapter for whatever charger you decide on. The plane is a GREAT value from Tower Hobbies, as are their other warbirds, but you will pay a premium for the battery and Druatrax charger. Look elsewhere for those. I did. I fly my TH Corsair, Hellcat and Mustang with batteries from HobbyPeople, HeadsUpHobby, and Value Hobby. All of mine came with Dean's battery connectors so I bought two of the Tower Hobbies Super Tiger to Dean's adapters and they work great. Check this one out:

That's good to know, I'm pretty much open to anything for my second plane. I like the looks of the warbirds and definitely interested in learning how to fly 4 channels. I'd like to eventually have a try at a Stryker F-27

I love my Strykers. I'd really recommend a 'light' Stryker as mine are among the most fun and most relaxing planes I've owned. You can but a bare F27C fuselage for about $20-$25 and build the whole plane for $75 or so (Blue Wonder style motor, 10-12A ESC, two 5-10 gram servos and fins cut from whatever's on hand.)

Good to know. I would have thought the Corsair would be more stable due to the "dihedral" of the wings.
I do okay flying my GP Seawind. Would the Corsair require more advanced skills than the Seawind ?
Which do you think would be the easiest/most forgiving of the three ?

I could swear I've read (probably on another forum) the opinion that the Corsair was slightly more stable than the Hellcat. Everyone seems to agree that my Mustang is the hardest of the three and, I've gotta say, it's not a problem plane at all. Much gentler than I'd expected.

Not in my experience the Hellcat is a little more stable IMHO. The Hellcat is easier to land too.

I have em both the Hellcat is indeed the most stable IMHO. All of the Navy planes are VERY stable compared to most counterparts. The Jug too, was VERY stable.

Like I said, I've only flown the Mustang. I did see someone on RCG say, "The easiest flier in their lineup is the TH F4U, followed closely by the F6F Hellcat."

There's bound to be some differences in opinion and variances from plane to plane (esp in cheap Chinese foam.)

Would these planes be too much for a novice pilot to fly? Ive been flying several different micro flyers for a while....Playmate, Champ, Cub, T-28, etc, but nothing that is a bit larger.Im sure its a hard question to answer, but ive been wanting to fly something outside that can handle some wind, which is common here in Fla!

Yes, go with the larger PZ-T-28. It is easier to fly than the Tower Hobbies warbirds and is a bit larger. Also, the motor mounts on the TH planes are made of light ply. In the event of a nose in crash, the motor mount usually doesn't survive well. The Tower Hobbies planes are very responsive, especially to aileron input. I fly mine on 55% low aileron rates and that tames them down, although for me, the TH Mustang required 45% aileron low rate. I usually flip to 100% rates for rolls though.
