[Pilot Error]

That's about how long my UMX Sbach 3D lasted in the gym tonight...It went up....made one 3/4 circuit around the gym, and went into a death dive into the bleachers, breaking the wing into three parts...Off to buy a new wing! I was chasing it the entire time, trying to keep up with it in the confined space, on only half throttle. Next time I'll maiden it outdoors before bringing it indoors to a smaller venue....

Yeah I had one of those, flew very nicely, gave it to my son. That model was a little to fast to fly around the circle in front of my home. That circle is a lot larger than the typical gym. It did fly very nicely at a local baseball diamond.

If it's anything like my Ultra Micro Sukhoi 26XP, I couldn't fly it until I put in a TON of expo (40-50% ) in it. And flew it on low rates for a while at first. Now it's a really fun plane to fly.

Love my UMX Sbach 3D. Tough as well. Mines been through some hard crashes and still flying. Front end is mostly epoxy now LOL.

Yeah, my little Sbach had a roll rate of some 3-4 times per second on high rate! It was impossible to stop it right side up on that high rate.

I'll be upping the low rate to around 50% from the 70% it is now, and adding more to the 25% expo!

Unless your indoor venue is the size of a football pitch I wouldn't risk flying high powered umx models indoors. I have the UMX Sbach and have enjoyed flying it outdoors for over a year now. Probably has 100 + flights on it and never been crashed. But it's quick in a dive and quick under power.

I got a new wing for it ($25) and am eagerly awaiting a non-windy Florida day to maiden it outdoors. Along with my rebuilt slo-stick variant. I looks like it's gonna be a blast once I get a couple flights in and get used to its flying manners.

Don't feel too bad , I maiden my beast on a windy day and ended up getting it ran over :-( I'm the only one I know that can get a plane ran over lol

Well, you don't see that every day! Car VS. plane.....I bet I could do it if I was just a little more impatient....I'm heading to the park tomorrow...
