Unhappy helicopter wont take off

My little indoor helicopter is having trouble taking off
I had just moved house and it had been in a box for a few months then when i tried to use it, everything ran smoothly and it sounded fine. It took off, went a few inches in the air than crashed!!!
Is there anything i can do to stop tis happening?? Thanks

That's not much to go on.

Did it lack power or was there plenty of power but no control?

Lack of control: You should check that the servos are moving properly and that all the linkages/ball joints are connected.

Lack of power: The LiPo battery may have deteriorated especially if the heli was stored with battery fully charged.

You still haven't said what kind of heli you have that makes a huge difference.

It could be a lot of things but with out more specific info we would just be throwing stuff out there blindly.

Yep, this is just like going to an automotive forum with "I got in my car today and when I started it it doesn't work. What's wrong with it?", and expecting someone to troubleshoot it from that info.

If you expect a specific answer, we need specific information. Communication is the key to solving all the world's problems today!

The problem your having happens sometimes due to battery issue, Just bought a new battery, if not work with the new battery, it could be an electrical problem. take it to a repair shop ....

Default Wow

Post a picture ...

There could be lots of reasons ..

If its a lack of power ? , then it could be the ESC / Motor or Battery ..
If it crashed and after that it lacked power , the motor could be fried , or the ESC could be damaged .

If its a cheapy , you may need to replace it ...

If its the motor - you may be able to replace it , if its the ESC it may be built into the main board ..

If you dont know what you have post a picture ...

A picture (or even better, a video!) is worth a thousand words in this case, or at least a description of the Helicopter, who makes it? Coaxial (2 main blades one on top of the other), not much to go on, but from what you describe, sounds like either battery or ESC. Just because it's a new battery don't mean a thing...

Sounds like this is not a hobby grade heli based on this statement he posted (Just bought a new battery off ebay. Now the challenge to install it). Might be something like my friend has from the mall. You can get replacement batteries but you have to take the heli apart to replace the battery and you plug the heli in to charge it. Toy quality with replaceable parts.
