Default Futaba radio question.

I recently crashed and lost my glider which had the R127DF receiver and S133 servos . Can you tell me what I can use to replace this equipment and still use my current radio. I have the Conquest FM Radio FP-T4NBF crystal is 72.270 MHZ . I would like to still use this radio if at all possible.
Thanks in advance . FishHawk

I would test the items that were in the crash and if they are o.k. then reuse them. I have done this several times with servos and receivers in the past myself.

THE KEY IS TO VERIFY EVERYTHING IS WORKING CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU FLY IT AGAIN.

Also, be sure to do a proper range check.

Mike

There is a wide assortment of compatible receivers and servos, depending on what you want to do. The 2 things to watch for is "pulse shift" (JR positive, Futaba negative) and proper frequency.
There are some auto-shift detecting receivers and even frequency synthesized receivers which could work with any 72 mhz FM radio.

If you are not afraid of used receivers you might be able to find some real bargains since many people are dumping 72 mhz stuff.

It may be better to get a complete RTF package deal which includes a new 2.4 ghz radio though.

You can get many brands of receivers that will work with your Futaba transmitter as long as you are on the same channel for both units.

Your LHS should be able to fix you up, or Ebay, and HK

Fm systems are not locked into the brand of transmitter like 2.4 g systems, so any good receiver should work. I have mixed several brands with no problems.

Fishhawk, you do not state your location. If in the USA your Futaba will be using negative shift so any receiver you get must work with negative shift. Airtronics and Jr are positive shift so their receivers will not work well with the Futaba. Several companies make receivers that have selectable shift, some automatic. Just make sure that the shift is compatible and you have many options for a receiver.

Or you can take that $73 and apply it to a new radio with way more capability than an old Conquest radio.

Futaba 6J with receiver - $180

Hobbico Tactic 650 with two receivers - $150
