Default AD1 [Action Drone One] full carbon fiber folding frame flight test no Jello!

Now that we have a little more traction and got some videos done. Here are the spec for the AD1.



Specification:
Airframe + Full Gimbal System(motor x2 + control board + IMU)
Airframemade out of 1.5mmboard.
16mmround tubes x4
16mm round tubeclamps & motor mounts,
2 axis brushless gimbal in the front designed for Gopro 3 only. (come with 2 brushless motors, control board & IMU installed)
Gimbal motor GM2208-80 x2,
Top transparency protection covermade out of 1mm polycarbonate,
Front Lens covermade out of 1mm bulet polycarbonate,
Motor to motor 590mm (CG still in the x center, same as standard quadcopter),
Total Flying weightabout 1830g (included GoPro, GPS & 4S 5000mah)

Frame Opened: length: 435mm,wide: 530mm,height: 105mm
After Folded (without props): length: 510mm,wide: 185mm,height: 105mm
After Folded (with props): 590mm,wide:185mm,height:105mm

Very nice Drone and great Video Quality with the built in gimbals, thats a nice unit for the pro to shoot events with, but its a little rich in the pocket book for most of us poor folks Thank you for Sharing, Chellie

I may be getting Older, But I Refuse to grow Up I am Having to much Fun to Grow Up LOL

Yeah we have been trying to find a way to lower the cost but Carbon fiber so expensive. Also I tried other materials but the frame weight almost doubles which is not good for videographers since flight times cut down drastically.

The AD1 looks very well thought out......but after having experienced the new Blade 350 (which has the capability) to plug in remote camera gimbal control...and the cost factor related to the AD1, at this point I'd go Blade for my home movies...........for the serious vid guys, obviously a set up like the AD1 has more potential......like this set-up I saw recently at the Formula Drift competition in Long Beach, CA:

Yeah my friend did that with his phantom. His problem was the flight time went down to like 6 minutes because of the weight of the gimbal. He still made really good videos with it though.
