I was at Ace Hardware today and they were already selling lights and fake Christmas Trees. Got me stirring about holiday and year end sales, free shipping deals, new models coming out and what I wanted to add to the hangar.
So, I started compiling a wishlist that will go in my letter to Santa. BTW, I've been a good boy this year. Rinsed and put dishes in the dishwasher, put my dirty laundry in the hamper, cleaned up epoxy spills from kitchen table, you name it, I've gone the extra mile ! LOL
Unless another really cool ARF hits the scene, here's my list so far:
1). Freewing SBD Dauntless- addition to warbird squadron. Love the dive flaps
2). Unique Model Tech PC-9/Texan II- Nice LG. Cool looking modern miltary trainer that replaced the T-28
3). Maxford USA-Globe / Tempco Swift- could use some existing equipment for this one. Have motor and servos looking for a new home
4). Unique Model Tech or Maxford- PT-17 Stearman- Nice Bipe
5). Freewing ME-262 -only edf I know of that can handle a grass field. 6) Added: DHC Beaver or other float plane for next summer
I only want one from the list above to start 2014. Whatever I don't get, I can slip past the front door later on. LOL
Same here but I will go with silver. I dont think I was a good enough boy to get that this year. So i will go with Habu 2 or parkzone new corsair with retracts and flaps and I am looking at the Parkzone visionair all of which are out of my price range but Santa has an unlimited budget and does not need Obama Care or anything so I think I can get maybe 1 of 3
Happy flying may your crashes be limited and if they are not limited let them be cool.
Don't just hate it when reality sets in ? LOL now that I've been back in the hobby for a few years, Christmas time is like it used to be when I was a little kid. Dreaming for that big surprize. 50 years ago(yikes) it was Schwinn Stingray bike. Now's it a new warbird.
The new set of tires will take you to a Spring time XMAS that lasts 8 days or there a bout's! Called SEFF where every day is a surprise gift!

I save all year long for that trip and my wife fully supports it. So much so that she bought me a new camper this year for the trip down. Of course we use it for more than that but until I started attending SEFF we had never owned a camper. In 7 years we have gone from a borrowed pop up to a 21ft travel trailer to a bare bones bunk house 5th wheel to our current rig, a 38' Cyclone Toy Hauler.

My house is very old, and can no longer support the weight of snow, reindeer, gifts for all the rest of the world, and your own portly self. Please deposit gift credits into paypal, and deliver me from the rest of the ho ho ho observations.
Should you crave a cookie & milk, a gift certificate for the above can be redeemed at any MacDonald's. It has been forwarded to your website.
Do not attempt to slither down the chimney, as the bird warning/explosive devices could indeed prove embarrassing.
My Santa's PO Box is on furlough right now.
The Raindeer are on strike.
The Elve's are to busy tending to the Aqua Garden greenhouse (more profitable).
Mrs. Santa has fiiled a restraining order against the Elve's. Seem they've been acting a strange lately and she doesn't care for the smell coming from the green house.
Guess I'll have to hand carry my letter to the local mall come Thanksgiving........
