Default HK RX3S Receiver/Gyro on off problem with DX7

I have a HK RX3S version 3 receiver/gyro that can be turned on and off via the radio. I have an older DX7 radio and have all gyro and contol surfaces working properly except controling the on off function of the gyro. The gyro on off is controled by an Aux1 switch. The DX7 doesn't have an Aux1 switch but has an Aux2 switch and that won't turn the gyro on or off. HAS anyone with a DX7 figured out how to accomplish on off? Thanks in advance.

Change the throws - AUX2 DOES control the AUX on the receiver, but it is a 3 position switch, so you need to make ONE of the positions read 0% and either of the others to read 150%. The 0% should be where the switch will be when you want the GYRO off, AND should NOT be set when the battery is first plugged in and the gyro is initializing.

It isn't the mistake that causes the crash - it's the time it takes to realize that it WAS a mistake!!

On the old DX7 AUX1 is synonymous with FLAP so AUX1 is controlled by the three position flap switch and the flap rocker or not as determined by choices made in the Input Select screen.

Thanks Turner and Hillbillie, it works!!!!! I now have it set up as follows in the flap system screen: The 3 position flap switch controls the gyro.

NORM. UP 100%
MID. DOWN 100%
LAND. Not used
AUX Control Switch on gyro moved up towards the center of th gyro.

The 3 position flap switch s/b as follows:
F1 is ON and should be used when plugging in battery to initialize gyro
F0 is gyro OFF
F2 is not used
