Great job. Before fun jet there was this micro-jet. I have converted to 64mm EDF and its fast. Get us a video of the funjet EDF conversion

It's been a long time since any activity on this thread so here's a picture of my EDF Funjet:

Ben,

Looks great. What's the motor/edf setup? I love the Navy livery.

Cheers,

Hawk

Agreed! Looks nice. And which Funjet is that? Did you add the cockpit yourself? All the ones I recall seeing are just painted foam for cockpits, no clear canopies.

Thanks for the kind comments.
Specification as follows: Wemotec MiniFan Evo, HET 2W-20, Wemotec thrust tube, Zippy 4s 2650mAh 30C LiPo, MKS 9g digital metal geared servos, BlackMantis 70A ESC and the canopy is courtesy of Parkflyerplastics.com (just $10 if I remember). The Funjet is the original version [U]not[U] the Ultra.
It'll fly for between 4-6 mins, depending on throttle use, and will go vertical from slow level flight until out of sight.
Check out the build here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2044887

Wow! Sounds awesome, and without the fear of launching with your hand next to a blender!
