Default Blade CX2 questions

I have a Blade scout and a CX2 with the 3 in one. The scout came with a stuck servo but once I got the moving it flies fine.
The CX2 I have trouble with . I think most of the time the problem is not a big enough living room to make adjustments. At best it moves around a little during attempted hover.
I attempted to fly it outside once. Not good but it survived.
I have several questions.
1. I ordered the Replacement tail. Will it help indoor flight?
2. I am new at this. Are there any other mods that will make it easier to fly indoors?
3. Is there anything available that is larger than the Scout but smaller than the CX2 for indoor flight?
4. If I replace one blade should I replace both?
Thanks; Don

The tail has no bearing on flight it just provides orientation.

I do like the boom town tail, however.

No other mods to make it easier to fly.....sorry.

I would reccomend that you balance your blades in pairs and replace
them that way but you can replace just one if it balances with the other
one. This is REALLY important. Out of balance blades leads to no good.

screw them together and balance them on the little balls to see which
side, (blade) is heavier and add tape to the light side till it sits even.

Helicopters don't really fly.......
They're just so ugly, that the earth repels them.

I have to disagree with the tail being useless. I tried for fun to fly without it, and it had a quick cycling yaw back and forth. I think the tail just adds some mass to keep it staedy and keeps the yaw gyros from overworking things.

That is correct. The tail does serve a useful purpose in keeping the gyro stabilization factors in check.....otherwise, you'd be fighting yaw all the time.

Unfortunatly, today there are very few micro heli's like, the OP is looking for, available. I'd suggest getting into something e-flight (Blade) or Walkera has on the market now.....you'll enjoy the indoor flying much more.
