tmaucher,

With respect to your "other" post regarding the DX7, what exactly do you mean by "problematic"? This sounds more like a troll, trying to bash a proven system that has had problems when people overtax their RX current, but is otherwise bulletproof.

I've NEVER had a single issue with my Spektrum. I would do it over again if I needed to and would recommend it to my best friend.

Same here! And great customer service in my mind as well. Nothing but helpful folk to solve the issues I have had, even to the point of sending me a piece for my dx6 antenna... free, and with shipping it was still free.

Good luck in finding what ya need Jack.

I've had mine for over 3 years in 4 different airplane- helicopters and not a glitch yet - probably over 40+ hours of operation . Biggest concern is airborne batteries ( Li po ) losing there zip. Not a problem with radio itself .

Yeah

(Hey, this is a VERY OLD thread, going back to 2007!)
I've had two DX7's, one as a backup unit. After 5 years of flying, and to many flights to count, I finally sold the primary DX7 to a club member last year. He's still flying with it.

My DX7 was replaced with a DX8, also a very fine radio.

As for glitches, funny about that. Most of my club members are flying Spektrum radios. And NONE of them that use LiFe or A123 batteries for receiver power have ever had a "brownout" or glitch with them.

As for the most popular 2.4 Ghz radios, check this out.
