Default Blade 400 on the way

I just bought a blade 400 BNF. As usual I think i got in over my head!
I have flown simple Helicopters but no CP type and I do not have a 6 channel TX.
I have a few questions;
1. Can I just ignore the CP and fly it like a 4 channel?
2. Will my LP5DSM bind with it so I can test it? (yes; I need a DX6I)
3. Can it be set up "easy to fly" for a beginner like me?
Thanks; Don

The answer to all questions is I think 'no'.

You cant fly a CP with four channels. I'm not sure about the Tx but if it's the old DSM (as opposed to DSM2 or DSMX) then it wont bind to a DSMX receiver, in any case you wouldn't be able to set it up without 6 channels and appropriate heli programming features..

It cant really be set up as 'easy to fly' but with care you should be able to handle it. I leaned on a Trex 450 with no real previous heli experience. Get some training gear (the rods with foam balls on end) and take it slowly.
