Default FMS P-51 Maiden

Finally got a chance to maiden my new (to me) FMS P-51 today. Nice flying bird. She has a lot of left torque on takeoff. I managed to run into the high grass on the far side of the field on takeoff. No damage thank goodness except for one of the gear door covers. I didn't realize it was out of alignment until I got in the air and pulled the gear up. It wouldn't retract all the way due to that. Easy fix and good as new. I didn't mess with the flaps today and she was still easy enough to land even on my short field.

All in all a really nice bird that looks awesome in the air and has plenty of power. I think I will really enjoy this one for a while.

I have a version 1 or maybe 2 of these planes. One of them I fly FPV, what a rush, and the other LOS. These 2 warbirds are probably my favorite in my hanger and dont get too much flight time because they look so cool. Congratulations on the maiden. You will love this plane for a long time.

Happy flying may your crashes be limited and if they are not limited let them be cool.
